The Sound of Porsche, a no holds barred multi-sensory brand experience, came to Toronto’s North by Northeast Festival and thrilled crowds right in the heart of the Festival grounds with a high-tech rendition of the distinctive Porsche 911 whine and much, much more. Loki’s new BNC260 model, a totally unique, one-of-a-kind composite of its existing BNC220 and BNC240 units, was custom outfitted for the occasion, housing a brand-centric immersive experience with an exclusive VIP feel that was open to anyone interested in hearing and feeling what it’s like to drive the legendary sports car.
With large open spaces on the main floor and a broad rooftop deck providing the best views of the entire NXNE Festival all around, the Porsche experience targeted young tech-savvy entrepreneurs who are attracted not just to the music but to the Festival’s gaming and interactive media elements.
The Sound of Porsche is really an occasion for sports car enthusiasts to experience the brand through its stories told over an array of the latest in media. The Porsche Sound Lab presented a riveting soundscape of the Porsche 911 being pushed to its limits. In another wing, a virtual reality demo featured the new Porsche Panamera being taken through its paces by a professional driver while passengers hung on for dear life. In the Design corner, a digital chalkboard was set up so people could draft the Porsche body style of the future, and participants could enter their designs for a chance to win a driving experience at Porsche Sport Driving School Canada.
Loki boxes are extremely flexible in the ways their space can be divided and deployed; the main Sound of Porsche section, set up like a classic record store, housed 4 stations featuring RFID vinyl technology that visitors could use to play movies recounting the automaker’s storied past. And of course the Loki array served as a fitting backdrop for three new-model Porsche vehicles on display outside the Sounds of Porsche experience.
Loki is proud to have played an important role in creating the perfect venue for this fusion of sounds, stories and technology that thrilled visitors and embodied the iconic Porsche brand on a deep sensory level.
