At Loki Box, we pride ourselves on premium customization of shipping containers, transforming them into unique mobile architecture. Our latest project exemplifies our commitment to innovation and pushing the boundaries of design. In collaboration with Dime, one of the most influential skate brands in the world, we embarked on an ambitious venture to create a custom unit for an overseas stunt aimed at amplifying Dime's visibility within the Parisian skate community.
Bringing Montreal to Paris
Dime, known for its dynamic presence in the skate world, partnered with us to create a replica of their Montreal iconic store within a 40-foot shipping container. This custom unit was meticulously designed to mirror every detail of their original space, complete with textured furniture to convey a premium aesthetic. The design also featured a front-opening roof and additional flooring, enhancing the container's welcoming, open-air vibe. To ensure it stood out, we included a billboard on top for maximum visibility.
Unveiling in the Heart of Paris
The project, in partnership with Vans, launched with two exciting events in Paris. The first stop was next to the famous Seine, where we hosted a meet-and-greet welcome party. The event featured a photo exhibit, creating a lively atmosphere with plenty of laughter and enjoyment. The second stop was a mystery skate spot, only revealed on the day of the pop-up. Here, our 40-foot container transformed into a skater's paradise. The integrated skate ramp and transformable furniture, such as shirt racks doubling as rails, allowed skaters to perform a variety of tricks. This unique setup generated significant buzz, quickly drawing a full house of visitors eager to witness the pros in action.
A Resounding Success
The success of this project was a testament to the collaborative efforts of Stacked, Dime, Vans, and the Loki Box team. By creating a mobile store and skatepark out of a shipping container, we not only enhanced Dime's visibility overseas but also showcased our ability to deliver groundbreaking designs. This project marks another milestone in our journey to redefine mobile architecture and inspire the skate community worldwide.
