Loki Box Design Takes 3 Platinum and 1 Gold at the 2018 MarCom Awards

Quebec City, November, 2018 – Loki Box Design, manufacturer of experiential marketing environments using refurbished shipping containers, among other materials, has made a brilliant showing at the 2018 MarCom Awards, taking three Platinum and 1 Gold award for strategic marketing communications on behalf of its clients.

 

Platinum Award - Carnival Cruise Corporation’s Oceanview app launch

In the Product Launch category, Loki Box Design won Platinum for supplying the centerpiece structure for the September 2017 Times Square event. With steady foot traffic through the installation, prominent branding and simultaneous coordinated messaging on the surrounding giant screens, the event delivered the kind of impact Carnival was expecting for a launch of a major new customer outreach tool.

Platinum Award – Ecosystem launch for LeddarTech

Also in the Product Launch category, Loki Box Design won Platinum for its ecosystem experience for LiDAR maker LeddarTech in the face of stiff competition at the CES electronics trade show. The approach saw the joint promotion of LeddarTech’s groundbreaking technology along with those of its 10 partner companies. Loki Box Design’s custom BNC260 unit used 4 refurbished shipping containers to create a campus-like setting, which featured enclosed presentation rooms, open meet and greet areas, a rooftop VIP lounge and high canopies for maximum visibility.

Platinum Award – Bell Interactive Giant Phones

In the Experimental Marketing Category, Loki Box Design won Platinum for outstanding creative work at the Festival d’Été de Québec. Bell, a major festival sponsor, wanted to make a real impact on the site while showcasing its wireless business. Loki Box Design created giant working smartphones, precise replicas measuring 7 X 16 feet, three of which were interactively linked on the festival grounds. Passersby could take photos and post Bitmojis which could be seen from a distance on all the phones and by their friends and families over social media, adding some hi-tech sizzle to the festival grounds.

Gold Award – Major experiential marketing tour in the desert for BRP

In the Self Promotion Category, Loki Box Design took Gold for its stunning installation at the Can-Am Maverick Southwest US Tour. The major mobile experiential marketing event featured a central display unit with a unique diagonal hinge that opened to an enormous 40 feet long by 16 feet high, making a show stopping backdrop for the brand activation. Two other 20-foot shipping containers and stunning sun shelters formed a corral around the Maverick vehicles on display, often on the desert floor itself.
